Skype for Business policy setting - attendees recording meetings

Scenario description

Skype for Business provides the functionality to record meeting audio and content so that it can be stored for future use or shared with those who did not attend the meeting.

In this scenario, you can configure the Skype for Business Meeting Policy to prevent or allow all users from your organization to record a Skype for Business meeting. 

By default users are granted the ability to record meetings.

This is one of the settings which can only be configured by using Windows PowerShell.

Connecting to Skype for Business and configuring attendees recording meetings policy setting

To begin, you will need to load the LyncOnlineConnector module to be able to configure Skype for Business settings.
Import-Module LyncOnlineConnector
$credential = Get-credential
$lyncSession = New-CsOnlineSession -Credential $credential
Import-PSSession $lyncSession
This command grants the ability of attendees to record Skype for Business meetings.
Set-CsMeetingConfiguration -AllowConferenceRecording $True
This command removes the ability of attendees to record Skype for Business meetings.
Set-CsMeetingConfiguration -AllowConferenceRecording $False
